SYHA moved to South Sioux City where they played 1 season in their own building
called "The Bubble"
A freezing cold inflatable building held aloft with outside air. It was where the current Marina Inn Convention Center

In 1985-86 SYHA and Metros Hockey would return to the Sioux City Auditoruim.
The late
80's would begin a run to Sioux City's 1990's dominance in the IHSH & MHSHL
hockey leagues.
Starting in 88 & 90 with Championship runner-up trophies. The Metros
return in both 1991 & 1992 with Championship wins. After a Runner-up
finish in 93 they again would win Champion status in 94. The Metro would go on
to win two more championships in 98 & 99 and close out the decade
with a runner-up finish in 2000. They would again win the Championship in 2003.
The 1990's made for a Sioux City Championship streak that is by far tops in the IHSHL & MHSHL leagues with 5 Championships, 3 Runner-up trophies!!!
